There are uncertainties regarding the true origin of this breed - Russian Blue - Russian Blue. They are thought to come from Arcangel (northern Russia), and being the favorite of the Czars of Russia. Other sources cite that they came from Mediterranean landscapes. There are those who indicate them as Chartraux relatives.
It is, however, certain that in the 60s of the last century, due to its affable characteristics, interest in this breed began to increase and was at that time, the breeders of the Russian Blues, thanks to their own qualities and characteristics (short, blue fur), managed to make this breed distinguished itself from the others.
Today, the Russian Blue that we know is a cat with a medium, elegant body, covered in a blue mantle, which gives it a noble and elegant appearance harmonious. It is sought after as company due to its calm, shy and discreet temperament.
Owners of an extraordinary character, these cats integrate, they love children, they are part of the family, they participate in our lives. They accompany us throughout the house, but they are patient, noble and discreet with their presence.
